Charleston Area Senior Citizens — CASC welcomes volunteers willing to package and/or deliver midday meals to home-bound senior citizens in the downtown Charleston area each Mon. through Fri. (843) 722-4127.

HALOS — HALOS is a a nonprofit organization that provides resources and special opportunities for child victims of abuse and neglect and their caregivers in Charleston County. Serenity Palliative and Hospice Care — Volunteers are needed to be a companion to patients, to assist with light yard work or light housework, bake birthday cakes, or to help in the office by answering phones, assembling packets, or assisting with mailings. Ongoing. (843) 556-3119.

NAMI Support Group — The National Alliance on Mental Illness holds several support groups monthly for family members and friends of those who have a loved one who suffers from mental illness and also for those recovering from a brain disorder/mental illness.
