The 4th annual WomenRock kicked off last Thursday at the S.C. Aquarium. The celebration featured works by female artists, including photography, jewelry, clothing, paintings, and more. A highlight of the evening was bellydancing performed by the
Palmetto Oasis Middle Eastern Dance Troupe. Music througout the night was provided by the Charleston County School of the Arts Chamber Strings, local singer/songwriter Laura Vincent, and DJ Brady (from Dub Island Sound System). There were many women’s charities on hand to educate partygoers, as well as food and drink from several local restaurants and caterers.
