On the Morning Buzz (WTMA) yesterday morning, John Graham Altman III called in to say that South Carolina would have been spared the embarrassing jokes at the state’s expense after Miss Teen South Carolina butchered her answer to her finalist question if only she had been black.
“Had she been a little black girl, a graduate of say Burke High School or S.C. State, it would not have been allowed,” Altman said. “The thought police — the race police would have been all over it.”
Altman also said he understood why the poor girl flubbed the question.
“When somebody gets the mic stuck in front of them, there’s no telling what she’s going to say,” he said. And if anybody would know, it’s John Graham.
