Salty Mike’s

Walk into the open air bar below the Variety Store at City Marina, and you’re likely to find a host of salty characters downing Budweisers around the aged wooden bar. That’s why it’s called Salty Mike’s. Yes, Wednesday nights may host the popped-collar crowd, but part of the storied establishment’s charm is the mix of patrons. You’ll find young professionals in their khakis and Oxfords swapping offshore stories with weather worn sailers who live on their boats at the marina. Not to mention the staff. Sean, Brother, Andy, Jess, Anna, and Casey are certainly the friendliest, and very likely the most dedicated crew of suds slingers in town. And if you’ve just sailed into town and are looking for the traditional first drink on land, a dark ‘n’ stormy, they’re one of the only bars in town to stock ginger beer, so treat yourself to real deal.
