Forget Steve Jobs. Forget Ken Jennings. Stephen Colbert is the smartest man ever. Of course, the Lowcountry native’s plan didn’t work out the way he wanted. The state Democratic Party refused to let the comedian on the ballot, allegedly at the urging of former state Superintendent of Education Inez Tenebaum, who feared Colbert would pull votes away from Obama.
