Blotter O’ The Week:

A man arrested for possible cocaine possession told police that it was “fake drugs” made from “BC Powder, baking soda, and cake mix.” And now we know how Rachael Ray stays so peppy all the time.

A man trying to make threatening phone calls to a Meeting Street business told the two employees that answered the phone to do what he said or he’d hurt their daughters. His plan failed when neither employee had a daughter.

Police obtained a suspect’s date of birth through her Facebook page. They also found out that she likes reading, writing, and talking to her friends and that, if she were a musical, she’d be Pippin.

Items Stolen this Week: Six GPS units, a laptop, two bikes, and five iPods

Quote O’ The Week: “Had I remembered that gun, I would have never let them search (the car).”

A store manager at the downtown Louis Vuitton reported that an unknown man had stolen a sign. Regardless of what your buddies told you, man, that will not suffice as a V-Day gift.

An employee of a party company reported a trailer had been stolen with an inflatable slide and four jump castles (with themes like Shrek, Looney Tunes, and Pirates of the Caribbean). There’ll be good times at the super-secret hideout tonight!

The Blotter is taken from City of Charleston police department reports. We’ve added a cartoon and a little commentary. We’ve added a little humor, too. No one has been found guilty. This is not a court of law.
