This is the first mayoral election in 40 years that Charlestonians will not see Joseph P. Riley Jr.’s name on the ballot. As you know, Joe has decided to retire. Good for him. If anybody deserves a little downtime, it’s Joe Riley. Not surprisingly, all eyes are on who will replace him. Of course, the mayoral race isn’t the only race of importance.
