Y’all ready for fashion week yet? It’s coming up fast and we’ve got all the deets on the Lowcountry’s most fashionable week of the year. Charleston Fashion Week (CFW) recently made a bunch of announcements — most importantly tickets, with nightly prices ranging from $55-$155, are now on sale and you can get them here. CFW also shared its featured designers: Creatures of the Wind and Tracy Reese.
Creatures of the Wind, founded in 2008 by graduates of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Department of Fashion Design, has been featured in Vogue, Elle, and Harper’s Bazaar, and named one of Women’s Wear Daily’s top 10 new American fashion brands to watch in 2013.
As for Tracy Reese, she has famous fans like Michelle Obama, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Taylor Swift. Her fashion lines are sold in departments stores around the country and have been featured in publications like Vogue, Glamour, and InStyle.
CFW previously announced CADET, a military inspired menswear line, as another featured designer, while promising a yet-to-be-announced Belk Designer to round out the big names for the 10th annual fashion show. If you want to get up close and personal with fashion week happenings, apply to be a volunteer — application deadlines are Jan. 25.
CFW has also announced its 16 emerging designer semifinalists, with each designer showing their showcasing their collections during the week-long fashion event in March. The grand prize winner will be selected at the end of the week.
