COVID-19 updates: South Carolina health officials reported 951 cases of coronavirus on Friday, with 53 additional confirmed deaths.
With 6,389 tests collected, the percent-positive rate was 14.9 percent.
As of 3:25 p.m. Sept. 11, via S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control:
Confirmed cases in S.C.: 126,792 (+951 new cases since Thursday)
Percent Positive: 14.9% (up from 6%)
Positive tests in Charleston County (total): 14,464 (+107)
Negative tests in S.C.: 938,142
Deaths in S.C. from COVID-19: 2,877 (+54)
SCDHEC recommends some to get tested once a month. New guidance from the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control suggests that people who are in the community, not able to social distance, or wear a mask get tested at least once a month.
