Firefly Distillery is inviting guests to come out to its Park Circle compound for an event featuring local food and craft vendors, adoptable dogs, dog supplies and of course plenty of Firefly Spirits, including its new limited-edition, barrel-proof bourbon. A portion of proceeds will go to local dog rescue Southern Tails for Precious Paws and animal shelter Berkeley Animal Center, who are partnering with the distillery to put on the Dec. 5 event.

“We’re celebrating this season the best way we know how — giving back. We get to host these events safely in our space and give back to worthy organizations in our community,” said Firefly Distillery co-owner Scott Newitt in a press release. “Of course the holiday season isn’t complete without some new spirits and local products in our gift shop.”

In honor of the event, the distillery will debut its moonshine sample packs, which include three 50-milliliter jars of peach, apple pie and Firefly’s signature “White Lightning” moonshine. Guests can also purchase Firefly’s 121.62 proof single barrel bourbon, which head distiller and general manager Jay Macmurphy said “captures the purest form of bourbon.” At the distillery, 185 bottles of the limited edition bourbon are now available for purchase.

Food will be supplied by Lola’s Lumpia, Flight and Holy City Cupcakes from 12-4 p.m., and the list of craft vendors includes Malted Mutts, Pink House Pups, Oyster Candle Company and Charleston Craft and Canvas, among others.
