Renowned daytime destination The Daily will add an Atlanta location, restaurateurs Michael and Melody Shemtov announced in a press release Wednesday. Executive chef Jacob Hunter will lead the “coffee and bodega inspired” concept, which will be located in West Midtown at 763 Trabert Ave.
This is the first Georgia venture for the Shemtovs, whose restaurant portfolio also includes Butcher & Bee in Charleston and Nashville and The Redheaded Stranger in Nashville. The Daily Atlanta will feature a similar offering as the Charleston location — so look for gourmet coffee along with Mediterranean-inspired breakfast and lunch items — but the space, designed by architecture firm Square Feet Studios, will be more than twice the size.
The Shemtovs, who hail from Atlanta, plan to debut the new location at the beginning of 2022, the press release said.
“We believe that food and beverage should have a sense of place, and we look forward to bringing that perspective to our offerings by forming and building on existing relationships with Georgia purveyors,” Shemtov said in the release. “We’re excited to connect with producers, as well as Atlanta locals, from staff to guests and hope to become an everyday part of the community.”
