Champagne, shishitos and a savory pancake

Mount Pleasant resident Alexandra Garcia wants to sip on a fancy champagne cocktail with two musicians and a basketball coach over Japanese-style dishes and an indulgent dessert.

DREAM DINNER GUESTS: Jimmy Buffett, Dave Matthews and the late Wake Forest men’s basketball coach Skip Prosser. “Gone too soon and ever a quotable hero of mine,” Garcia said of Prosser.

DRINK: French 75 from The Obstinate Daughter. “A French 75 at Obstinate Daughter just feels right — the ambiance, the salt air, celebrity spotting and the sweetest cocktail you can imagine.”

APPETIZER: Blistered shishito peppers from 167 Raw Sushi. “167 Raw Sushi is my go-to for girlfriend lunches, and we always start with the lemony and mouth-watering blistered shishito peppers as we sip on rosé.”

ENTREE: Okonomiyaki with pork candy from Xiao Bao Biscuit. “I’ll never forget my first mind-blowing taste of okonomiyaki at Xiao Bao. That fusion of funky flavors and texture keeps me coming back for more unique gastronomic dishes.”

DESSERT: Coconut cake from Peninsula Grill. “Nothing makes me feel fancier than cozying up at the bar at Peninsula Grill with iced wine. I’ve split many romantic slices of coconut cake there over the years.”
