As we reported this weekend, Food Network host Alton Brown spent the Thanksgiving holiday in Charleston making the rounds to various restaurants.
On Saturday he stopped by Bar Normandy and took the time to call Chef Alex Lira’s Charred broccoli with grapefruit and pecans as “#genius.” The previous evening he visited Leon’s and, according to Brown’s Instagram, The Darling Oyster Bar also made the cut.
In a Sunday post, Brown put up photo of oysters with the caption: “When in #charlestonsc @darling_oyster_bar.”
No word on whether the 2011 James Beard Award winner for Best TV Food Personality is still in town, but keep an eye on his ‘gram to find out where he might eat next.[embed-1]
