As of last year, tiny Lake City, S.C. has become home to an art festival that not only takes over the town’s business district, but also offers up some major cash prizes — $100,000 in total, to be exact.

Submissions for the 2014 festival opened at 9 a.m. on Oct. 30, with a deadline of Dec. 13 at 11:59 p.m. Artists can apply in any type of media, including 2D, 3D, and digital, although only one piece per artist will be accepted, and all applicants must reside in a Southern state. You can read the full rules here.

The CP’s Paul Bowers traveled to the inaugural festival last year and came away pretty impressed. And next promises a bigger and better festival, with the addition of two more prizes, the People’s Choice in 2D and 3D (each worth $12,500), and plenty of food, music, and dancing. ArtFields 2014 runs April 25-May 4.
