Organizer Eddie White knows how to put an outdoor music festival together. In addition to the popular Barn Jam series, he’s helped assemble several large-scale concert events and benefit shows at Awendaw Green and Sewee Outpost over the last three years.

Awendaw Green’s annual fall festival heads away from the rural East Cooper settings and lands in Patriots Point in Mt. Pleasant with the Awendaw Green Homegrown Music Showcase. Designed as a Veterans Day celebration, the event is set for Sun. Nov. 13 from 10 a.m.-8 p.m.

“It will be a one-day singer-in-the-round affair with three artists rotating off the stage every 45 minutes,” says White. “We have much hope that this event will spread our music outreach to many new ears.”

The event will benefit Patriots Point’s Institute of History and Science and the newly created Awendaw Green Arts Institute. The roster includes Mark Bryan, Hank Futch, Danielle Howle, Elise Testone, Dog Jones, Mac Leaphart, and Reid Stone, among many others.
