Downtown venue Music Farm recently posted a slew of new shows on its summer and fall calendar. It’s an impressive variety of heavy rock, hip-hop, indie-pop, and local acts. Standout events include Buckethead, Mat Kearney, Ghostland Observatory, New Found Glory, Reverend Horton Heat, Mike Doughty, Dr. Dog, and Method Man.

One of the big surprises of the season is iconic Washington, D.C.-based punk band Bad Brains, who are set for Fri. Sept. 23. The quartet has had its ups and downs since forming in 1979, but all four original members — singer H.R., bassist Darryl Jenifer, guitarist Dr. Know, and drummer Earl Hudson — have been recording and touring all year.

Advance tickets for the Bad Brains show are available for $20. Check out badbrains.com and musicfarm.com for more.
