Anson Restaurant has been empty since a fire struck on Christmas Eve last year. But it looks like the Balish family, which owns the property, may finally be moving forward with renovations. According to Wednesday’s upcoming Board of Architectural Review agenda, the property has submitted a request for final approval for repairs and renovations to the two-story masonry building (see blueprint below).

As for any renovations over at the family’s other property, 141 East Bay St., which we’re told will become a new restaurant called Farmers’ & Exchange, no additional details have been revealed.

Over at Southern Charmer Whitney Sudler-Smith and Planet Hollywood creator Bryan Kestner’s 565 King St. project, Generalísimo, a request has also been submitted to update the storefront. If approved, all traces of Taylor’s Pawn Shop (the former tenant) will vanish. In its place an entrance akin to the Belmont will be installed.
