After an initial open nomination process, the James Beard foundation has announced the semifinalists. Per usual, Charleston has made a respectable showing. Finalists will be announced on March 21.

Husk is on the list for Best New Restaurant

Lauren Mitterer of WildFlour is on the Best Pastry Chef list.

Charleston Grill made the semifinals for Outstanding Service.
