COVID-19 updates: South Carolina health officials reported 542 new cases of coronavirus on Monday, with 10 additional confirmed deaths.
With 6,635 tests collected, the percent-positive rate was 8.8 percent.
As of 5 p.m. Sept. 28, via S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control:
Confirmed cases in S.C.: 142,449 (+542 new cases since Sunday)
Percent Positive: 8.8% (down from 13.8%)
Positive tests in Charleston County (total): 15.591 (+49)
Negative tests in S.C.: 1,164,034
Deaths in S.C. from COVID-19: 3,154 (+10)
