COVID-19 updates: Starting Nov. 27, The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control will begin providing daily COVID-19 updates with a 24-hour delay to allow for more robust analysis of data before it’s publicly reported.
Today, South Carolina health officials reported 1,479 new cases of the coronavirus on Thursday, with 26 additional confirmed deaths.
With 11,207 tests reported Thursday, 13.2% were positive.
As of 4:19 p.m. Nov. 20, via S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control:
Confirmed cases in S.C.: 191,021 (+1,479)
Positive tests in Charleston County (total): 19,075 (+121)
Negative tests in S.C.: 2,267,499 (+9,728)
Deaths in S.C. from COVID-19: 3,949 (+26)
Sheriff-elect targeted by longtime Cannon assistant. Sheriff-elect Kristin Graziano was the subject of a scathing letter reportedly emailed to the entire Charleston County Sheriff’s office by current Assistant Sheriff Mitch Lucas on Thursday. In the letter, Lucas reportedly questioned Graziano’s transition strategy and said his planned retirement was moved up because of her election. Source: P&C
