1407 Shrimp Boat Lane. Mt. Pleasant
Although Water’s Edge is best known for its elegant menu of steaks and seafood dishes, the more laid-back (and affordable) weekend brunches are well-worth checking out. In addition to the traditional breakfast-styled appetizers, the restaurant includes the same fish stew ($5.95 for a bowl) featured on the lunch and dinner menus. And that’s a good thing. Made in a tomato broth with fresh potatoes and vegetables, it’s a flavorful and savory warm-up to a fried shrimp po’ boy, a sliced sweet cured ham and cheese croissant, or a peppery Southwestern omelet with andouille sausage.
