Circular Congregation Church

In his self-penned The Tragedian, PURE Theatre’s Rodney Lee Rogers became 19th-century thespian Edwin Booth, and mesmerized audiences at the Circular Congregational Church. Rogers used him as a starting point to explore the themes of acting, family relationships, and the choices men face when they’re unwittingly caught in historical events. Rogers managed to transport the audience through time, across the world, and into the mind of a complex character.
