Vickery’s

Downtown. 15 Beaufain St. 577-5300

Mt. Pleasant. 1313 Shrimpboat Lane. 884-4440

The outdoor setting is an integral part of the Vickery’s experience, whether you’re at Shem Creek in Mt. Pleasant, downtown Charleston, or their original location on Crescent Avenue in midtown Atlanta. In 1993, a motley group from Hotlanta converted a Goodyear tire shop in Charleston into an award-winning space that features one of the best patios in all of downtown. Sitting on the edge of Beaufain Street, where St. Philip dumps into it, the patio sees more foot traffic than car traffic, providing the perfect amount of people-watching to go with the stiffest martini in town. Their concept is a friendly neighborhood restaurant — and what’s friendlier than sitting outside, enjoying the mild Southern climate, and drinking cocktails with your pals? Maybe sitting creekside in Mt. Pleasant doing more of the same.
