The girl still has it. Bowen’s lives on. Robert Barber still dishes up the steaming piles of mollusks, and while they may be relocated to the dockhouse behind the original charred hulk, Bowen’s Island plans an even more triumphant return worthy of its time-honored reputation. The new Bowen’s will be built to be as green as possible. No word yet on whether the governor will be comfortable eating in such a liberal environment (after all, Barber is also a former Democratic state representative), but that just makes it a safer place for most of the City Paper’s staff to pig out.
