Looks like Charleston’s favorite what-will-he-do-next celeb is officially and unexpectedly making the crossover into the music world with the release of debut album, New Worlds. Are we shocked? Yes, and no, not at all, really.

Not only that, the Groundhog Day star will also take his tunes on tour. Sadly, no Holy City date has been announced as of yet.

As reported yesterday by Nerdist, Murray collaborated with a Jan Vogler-led trio that includes Vogler’s wife, celloist Mira Wang, on the album, which will feature musical and literary performances. The four will hit the road together in the fall but will be making a one-off stop at the Festival Napa Valley on Thurs. July 20.

Check Murray’s vocal chops in the video below, where he covers Van Morrison’s “When Will I Ever Learn to Live in God?” this week at the Dresden Music Festival in Germany.
