You did it, you survived the overcast total solar eclipse of 2017. If that’s not a reason to throw back a few brews, we don’t know what is. Check out this week’s beer hop-penings below.

Tonight from 7 to 8 p.m. run off all those green alien jello shots you took during the eclipse at Frothy Beard with the Frothy Fit Club. A 45-minute run is followed by beer-sippin’ at the brewery.

If you are more into bending than sprinting, head to Tradesman JI for a $15 yoga sesh starting at 6:30 p.m. with beer to follow.

It’s Tapas Tuesday at Charles Towne Fermentory. From 5 to 9 p.m. enjoy Spanish eats from The Castejones. 

Charles Towne Fermentory has more great eats Wed. from 4 to 8 p.m. Persimmon Cafe serves up paninis, salads, custards, and more (pairs well with beer).

Kid Aggie, described as a musician with a sound of “Southern American soul with dad rock influences,” plays at Palmetto from 5 to 8 p.m.

Brains and Brews at Low Tide Brewing is a free trivia night with sweet prizes for first, second, and third place winners. Trivia starts at 7 p.m. and Pep Rolls food truck will be onsite serving quintessential bar food — bread, cheese, and meat.

Calling all Trivial Pursuit nerds, head to Frothy from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. to get your booze brain workin at trivia night (fun is free, but beer and Zombie Bob’s slices will cost ya).

Judson McKinney and Sam Stringfield play at Palmetto from 5 to 8 p.m.

It’s almost kick-off time for college football. Head to Two Blokes Brewing between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. to shop gameday apparel from Escapada Living.

Persimmon Cafe pops up at Freehouse Brewery from 5 to 9 p.m. and Weigh Station takes the stage.

Fridays mean another edition of the Loading Dock series at Palmetto Brewing. Jay D. Clark takes the stage at 6 p.m. and Bullets Benign follows at 8 p.m. Graze will be onsite providing eats.

Head to our favorite bark friendly brew spot, The Barrel, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. for the third annual Bow Wow Film Fest. Tickets are $10, and the evening promises “paw readings,” raffle prizes, tons of draft beer for purchase by the pint, and food from Dave ‘N’ Dubs, with short films featuring fidos, of course. The event benefits local adoption center and spay/neuter clinic Pet Helpers.

Itinerant Literate pops up at Two Blokes for Brews & Books from 3 to 9 p.m.

Herd Provisions pops up at Cooper River Brewing from 4 to 8 p.m. In case you hadn’t Herd, the company uses rare British Ancient White Park cattle for their juicy burgers (check out their CSA here).

Head to Rusty Bull Brewing between 5 and 11 p.m. for live music from Mark J. Fisher, a cigar lounge from Southern Smoke Cigars, and smoked meats from Grill Force One.

Ballpark Festival of Beers: more than 100 beers, food trucks, and a mechanical bull. Need we say more? Fun begins at 7 p.m. And FYI, we do not recommend pregaming a beer festival.

Enjoy live music from Charleston band High Five at Frothy Beard starting at 7 p.m.

From 3 to 8 p.m. enjoy beer and food pairings at Tradesman. There will be three courses: ceviche paired with pale ale, Rib eye slider paired with a red ale, and “biscuits and cream” paired with the brewery’s white coffee stout Shift Change. Proceeds benefit Florence Crittenton Programs of SC, which provides comprehensive services for pregnant girls and young women ages 10 to 21 from the entire state.

Rusty Bull Brewing has live music from Emily Curtis starting at 7 p.m. and eats from Rolled Quesadillas starting at 5 p.m.

Paint your very own iconic Charleston pineapple at Holy City Brewing with Wine and Canvas Charleston. Tickets are $25 and the event runs from 2 to 4 p.m.

Persimmon Cafe continues to make its rounds with a pop up at Two Blokes starting at 3:30 p.m.

Will Austin performs at Frothy starting at noon, then hop on your dragon and gear up for another GOT watch party at Frothy starting at 9 p.m.

Ghost Monkey Brewery hosts The Office themed trivia starting at 3 p.m.— don’t worry, there won’t be any cameras to look into, we don’t think. Boxcar Betty’s will be on hand serving fried delights starting at 2 p.m.
