Legendary Lambic brewer Frank Boon swings by The Bower at Edmund’s Oast tonight starting at 6 p.m. Boon will to discuss lambic beer, the oldest beer style in the western world, and for $6 a pop there will be eight ounce pours of Straight Lambic, Framboise, Kriek, and Oude Kriek, in addition to bottles of Vat 109 and Marriage Parfait 2013.
Bendy Brewski yoga brings their mats to Frothy Beard from 6 to 7 p.m. $15 buys a pint and one hour of yogi instruction. And for all you F&B folks out there, from 5 to 11 p.m. every Monday receive 20% off your Frothy Beard pours.
Will you run for beer? If so, join the Frothy Fit Club at Frothy Beard from 7 to 8 p.m. for a 45 minute run followed by casual beer slingin.’ These guys have a fitspo mantra we can all get behind: “Never forget: The more miles you run, the more beers you can drink and slices you can eat.”
If you need a little inspiration before creating your next masterpiece, look no further then Paints & Pints at Revelry Brewing, held Tues. from 6 to 8 p.m. For $30 you receive two hours of professional painting instruction (attendees will be painting the iconic Angel Oak) plus a half-pint of beer.
From 5 to 9:30 p.m. Persimmon Cafe pops up at Two Blokes Brewing in Mt. Pleasant.
Sip on one of Two Blokes’ drafts, from a honey rye IPA to a chipotle amber, and enjoy a limited menu from Persimmon.
Say goodbye to Tradesman Brewing’s original James Island location from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at this free run. The run is three miles and is open to all fitness levels.
Head to Low Tide Brewing for some free trivia from 7 to 9 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams: first place gets a $50 bar tab, second place gets a round of pints for the team, and third place gets a round of 12 ounce pours for the group. Wraps Around the World will be onsite serving eats to keep your brain juices flowin.’
Shawna Jarrett hosts Comedy Night at Frothy Beard starting at 8 p.m. Beer and pizza are available for purchase, but the jokes are totally free.
Gritty Flyright plays at Palmetto starting at 6 p.m.
If you grew up attempting to beat your mother at even one Jeopardy category … well, here’s your chance to redeem yourself (or keep that winning streak going). From 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., Mark Likes Trivia leads trivia night at Frothy Beard. As always, enjoy more than 15 beers on tap and all the Zombie Bob’s ‘za you can fit in your face hole.
Paint a flamingo at Charlestowne Fermentory’s Paints & Pints event. For $30 from 6 to 8 p.m. receive professional instruction and half a pint of beer.
Charleston Beer Runners run from the Hampton Park gazebo to Craftsmen for the restaurant’s Thurs. night special, $10 flights and bites. The entire courtyard is reserved for this event, so bring a running buddy or two. Runners meet at the gazebo at 7 p.m.
Shane Clark takes Palmetto’s Loading Dock stage from 5 to 8 p.m. for an intimate evening of acoustic jams.
Oak Road Brewery in Summerville brings back one of its rare IPAs for national IPA day.
Persimmon Cafe pops up at Charles Towne Fermentory from 4 to 8:30 p.m.
The Atlas Project and Dave N’ Dubs play at Freehouse Brewery from 6 to 9 p.m.
Low Tide Brewing is set to release its newest seasonal sour Friday, and to honor products that went into making the salty, sour brew — “sea pickles” found in the surrounding marshlands — the brewery is hosting a paddle board excursion to clean up the marshes. The excursion is $25 and all participants get a pint of the new sour beer post clean-up; participants must meet at 8:45 a.m. at Limehouse Landing.
If you are interested in “dressing like a weirdo” be sure to make room in your weekend schedule to stop by LO-Fi Brewing. DJ Lyle Shannon spins from 9 to 10:30 p.m. and Lectra Lust plays from 11 p.m. until they “drop.” There will be food trucks plus lights, fog, “dancin’ and drankin.'”
Knoxville, Tenn.-based Trevor Clark Trio plays at Palmetto starting at 6 p.m.
From 4 to 8 p.m. Freehouse Brewery hosts North Carolina band Ellis Dyson & The Shambles. With a $10 donation you can enjoy the band’s “whiskey-soaked tunes” as well as the brewery’s scenic views and food from the Holy City Popcorn Company and El Pinchotaco.
Winter is coming to Frothy Beard. From 9 to 11 p.m. watch Game of Thrones amongst hordes of other GOT fans while sipping on Frothy pints.
