Though the Cooper River Bridge Run may be an event for the strong-willed and highly-athletic, you don’t have to exert too much energy to enjoy the spoils of the weekend. Whether you’re running the race or just watching from the sidelines, here’s the lowdown on where to party, before, during, and after the bridge run.

Pre-Race Deals (Fri.)

Feel free to gulp down some brewskis as Vickery’s will have $1.50 domestic bottles and $3 house liquors during their happy hour.

Carbo-load the night before the race with pasta from The Med.

Jam out at Home Team BBQ’s pre-party dinner and show on Sullivan’s Island with free live music from Lohills.

During the Run

Whet your appetite at O-Ku with a $10 bento box and $6 sake bombs starting at 10:30 a.m..

Looking to party early? Take your lazy butt to the 18th annual “I Slept through the Bridge Run” party at the Blind Tiger with drink specials like $2 PBR’s and $3 tequila shots.

Enjoy a special brunch menu and cocktail specials at the always lively Joe Pasta.

Mellow Mushroom will open bright and early for live music as well as food and drink specials. Indulge in some brunch pizza and witness the free bacon strips being given out to the runners that pass by on King Street.

Sip some $2 Yuengling and Fat Tire 12 oz. pints at Cumberland St. Smokehouse.

Runners can show their bridge run race number for 10% off wine bottles at Bottles Beverage Superstore and anything off the menu at Rusty Rudder in Mt. Pleasant.

Make the trek to Mac’s Place Pub & Grub for drink specials and live music from Shrimp City Slim.

Indaco will open their doors early for lunch with $15 bottomless Bellini’s.

For downtowners, show your bridge run bib for 15% off your entire meal at Brown Dog Deli.

Post-Race After-Parties

Relax and play some corn hole at Bay Street Biergarten with outdoor specials like $5 cocktails and a breakfast buffet. Other specials on tap include $5 drafts and 16 oz. cans of select beers. Make the memories last with some snaps from the photo booth.

The Rooftop at Vendue will be hosting their Run to the Roof after-party all day with $5 Bellini’s, bloody mary’s, screwdrivers, and mimosas.

The Alley will be hosting an after-party with live music, bloody mary and mimosa specials, and their famous chicken and waffle sliders for just $3.50. Make sure to get there quick, as the first 50 attendees’ll get a free mini bottle of Charleston Mix Bloody Mary Mix. The Alley will also be giving out a secret surprise if you show your race bib.

Stop by Midtown Bar and Grill after the race for beer, cocktail, food specials and live music from Triple Dog Dare.
