Gratitude, a fabric art exhibit by local quilter and arts activist Cookie Washington, is now on display at Brookgreen Gardens. The exhibit is presented in the Wall Lowcountry Center Auditorium now through Nov. 26.

A prolific quilter, Washington’s pieces often feature themes of African-American history and spirituality, highlighting the resilience of the human spirit.

Gratitude will feature creations from throughout Washington’s career. The exhibit is open daily, 12-4:30 p.m.

Brookgreen Gardens (1931 Brookgreen Garden Drive, Murrells Inlet) is open daily, 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. You can purchase tickets ($18/adults, $16/seniors, $10/children) online.
