In one of the more creative restaurant promos we’ve seen lately, North Central Delicatessen has announced via Instagram that this Friday is free portrait day.
Yes, it’s just as it sounds. In a move that’s bound to rile up legions of Subway sandwich artists, North Central Deli co-owner Paul Cheney — who is also a well known photographer (you’ve likely seen his work in City Paper as well as in all the stills used in the most recent season of Top Chef: Charleston) — is offering to take your picture when you buy one of the following:
- Bacon, egg, and cheese
- Taylor Ham, Egg & Cheese
- Sausage, Egg & Cheese
Just show up Fri. June 2 between 8 and 10 a.m., buy a breakfast sandwich, and Cheney will snap your pic, then deliver to you via email, edited and ready to go.
