Folk/Celtic/country songwriter Carroll Brown has a new 14-song album titled Sweet Savannah Nights on hand. Brown recorded the disc with local engineer Jay Miley’s Charleston Recording earlier this year. The collection is due this week on Brown’s Oceansong label.

“It has been a labor of love and two years in the making,” Brown says. “I think people will find it pleasing to the ear, and I hope they’ll grab up some copies for your unsuspecting friends for the holidays.”

Brown recently invited fans to join him and songwriter Brendan Nolan with a package deal on a two-week summer tour of Ireland in June. Brown’s current road trip through Georgia and the Carolinas brings him back home next week for a show at True Blue’s. A CD release show is in the works for early January at Buddy Roe’s.
