[image-1]Yesterday the CCPL Board of Trustees announced that it has selected Nicolle Davies as CCPL’s newest executive director. Davies was one of three finalists interviewed by the board earlier this month, following a national search and over 100 applications for the position.

In a statement Davies said, “It is an exciting time for public libraries, and I am happy to join a community that invests in their libraries.” Recently named Library Journal’s 2016 Librarian of the Year, Davies come to Charleston from Denver, where she served as director of the Arapahoe Library District, managing eight branch libraries and a $30 million annual budget.
