April is officially Charleston Beer Runners Dog Run Month. The participating bars will provide the booze, you BYOD (bring your own dog).

Revelry Brewing kicks off the month’s dedication to all things frothy and furry on Thurs. April 6 at 7 p.m. A portion of all proceeds from the brewery’s sales goes to Pet Helpers and, in addition to the brew sales, CBR will be collecting donations at the run.

Pet Helpers will have reps onsite with adoptable four-legged friends looking for the perfect running buddy; follow the group on Facebook for a chance to be paired up with a Pet Helpers pup. Throughout the month, the furry runners (with the help of their owners) will be accruing mileage to raise money for the charity of their choice, with $1 donated for every mile run.

The route for the April 6 runs starts at the Hampton Park gazebo. All participating dogs must be on leashes, and runners are encouraged to bring an ID and cash with them.
