The Charleston Chamber Opera is still seeking donations to match a $5,000 grant from the Gaylord and Dorothy Donnelley Foundation. As of press time, they were $1,748 short, and they have until Aug. 31 to get that money in order to receive the grant.
Established in 1952, the Foundation focuses on land conservation and artistic vitality for communities in the Lowcountry as well as the Chicago area.
