Shabazz Morningstar and his upstart company are looking to give back to their community through partnerships with other local names.

Morningstar’s Royal Falcon Brand seeks to promote healthy lifestyles through partnerships with local artists and its own podcast published using Instagram.

Morningstar recently rebranded and relaunched the brand alongside other small up-and-coming businesses, starting with a fundraiser at the Kendra Scott jewelry store on King Street May 2.

Between 4 and 6 p.m., 20% of all money spent will go to The Royal Falcon to be given to the Steve Austin homeless shelter in North Charleston.

“I like to help the local community out, so any local artist that makes music, paintings or poetry, I give them 50/50 tickets, so they get paid, and I get to use that money to donate back to the community,” Morningstar said.

Morningstar launched The Royal Falcon Brand in 2018 and began promoting healthy lifestyles through the arts, fitness and open communication through the team’s podcast. He partnered with local artists, setting them up with gigs, splitting the profits and putting 90% of the money back into the community.

Some of the first larger give-back projects were the creation of a scholarship to help students join organizations that promote business ownership, and the donation of $3,000 in toiletry items to the Steve Austin homeless shelter.
