Now in its 12th year, Charleston Fashion Week has become somewhat of a staple in the Holy City’s spring season. Along with Charleston Wine + Food, the event brings hordes of well-dressed fancy people to Marion Square to rub elbows and exchange fashion tips. And while we here at the City Paper don’t have too many tips and tricks for dressing well (your shirt’s not stained if you’re wearing a scarf over it, would be one, probably), we are stoked to see the materialistic masses descend on the city.
This year’s CFW will be held from March 13-17. In a statement Naomie Russell, executive director of CFW, said, “Charleston Fashion Week made a local economic impact of over $3 million, last year. We’re proud to say that not only do we showcase talent, we also help strengthen the community.” Fashionistas or not, that’s something we can get behind.
