What is it? A balanced program of chamber music performed by three great musicians — cellist Natalia Khoma, violinist Lee Chin Siow, and pianist Volodymr Vynnytsky — who share a deep love for this intimate fare.

Why see it? Charleston Music Fest’s return to Piccolo, after tearing up the stage in their inaugural season last year, while not unexpected, is definitely most welcome. CMF’s ability to focus the passionate fire each musician effortlessly exudes into a coherent, exuberant whole should make for quite an evening. The program includes works by Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Piazzolla, and our able pianist, Mr. Vynnytsky. Hence, the balance — a voyage from the early Romantic to the present. Let’s just hope this trio allows us to catch our breath along the way!

Who should go? Anyone with an inkling of desire to hear three world-class musicians perform a program of fiery intimacy should not miss this.
