If showing off your pride is wrong, then we don’t want to be right. To raise money for its festival in May, Charleston Pride is putting on a drag show at The Chart on March 20 at 9 p.m. It promises to be one hell of a night, with sequins, music, dancing, singing, and booze — most importantly, jello shots — galore.

Never been to a drag show before? We think now’s the time to start. If you’ve ever seen To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar or The Birdcage, then you may have a decent idea about what to expect. If not, then imagine fabulous men in high-heeled shoes, wearing some of the fiercest outfits most women can only hope pull off and singing to their favorite songs. It’ll be quite the experience. The event, which costs $10, benefits Charleston Pride and will have raffles and t-shirts available for purchase. Everyone is invited, no matter what label you’re wearing.
