The lucky folks who can still afford to live downtown and haven’t already plotted their strategy to walk or use offers of free rides from CARTA, Lyft, or Uber tomorrow have one more option: Rickshaw.
[content-2] Charleston Rickshaw and Charleston Pedicab say they’ll each waive the standard $6/passenger/10 minutes rate for voters going to or from the polls on Election Day.

Sean Nemitz, owner of both operations, says that voters/riders don’t need to provide proof of any kind, but don’t be a jerk about it, people. (Also, as civic minded as they are, their drivers do accept tips.)

Call 843-723-5685 for Charleston Rickshaw (white bikes) or 843-577-7088 (blue bikes) to get set up. The companies offer service across the peninsula and north to Mount Pleasant Street.

Polls are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Have questions about voting? Here’s what you need to know.
