Charleston County School Board Chairwoman Toya Hampton-Green has endorsed Vincent Sheheen, a state senator from Campden and a Democratic gubernatorial hopeful.
“Vincent will be the champion for strong public schools that we have sorely needed,” Hampton-Green says. “I’m excited about him being our next governor.”
Her endorsement was among eight educators and elected officials announced Thursday, including Mary Ann Blakowitz, Mary Lostetter, Ann Marie Taylor, and James Ann Lynch. He certainly has snagged the very important “Ann” and “Variations of Mary” caucuses.
