After four years of business, The Coastal Cupboard in Mt. Pleasant is opening its doors even wider than before. The Lowcountry kitchen store is expanding their current location in the Belle Hall Shopping Center to include a new demonstration kitchen and expanded retail space.

Owners Brad, Joy, and John Pitner say the kitchen will feature cooking classes ranging from basic cooking skills, holiday planning and preparation, to advanced skills. Not really sure if advanced skills require your own embroidered apron or not, but we’ll see. The Cupboard will host local celebrity chefs as well as nationally recognized chefs in the new space. A limited class schedule is expected to start in October, will a full schedule beginning in January 2010, just in time for holiday bake-offs.
