This weekend, Charleston will see some incredibly happy parents. Not only is it Mother’s Day on Sunday (have you gotten your gift yet?), but on Friday and Saturday, students at the College of Charleston take the walk from the cocoon-like halls of academia to the real world. And that means that traffic is going to be crrrrrazy.

Graduation ceremonies begin Friday, May 10 at 5:30 p.m. with the Graduate School, and undergraduate ceremonies are held at the Cistern Yard on Saturday, May 11 at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. So unless you’re cheering on a new graduate, you might want to steer clear of St. Philip St. between Wentworth and Vanderhorst until the ceremonies are over. Check out CofC’s Commencement page for more info.
