The Coleman Collection, a high-end home furnishing consignment shop, recently located to a new, larger space. Although the shop just opened in March, they quickly outgrew their original location in Mt. Pleasant’s Northcutt Plaza and moved a few spots down to the former Gymboree space, which is about 70 percent larger than their first shop.

Owners Gretchen Rhodes, Martha Seay, and Jeannie Sparrow are all interior designers, and they use a discerning eye when choosing inventory for the shop. Stephanie Rhodes, Gretchen’s daughter who runs the day-to-day operations, says they’ve attracted business from a number of local designers.

Seay and Sparrow are sisters and S.C. natives with 25 years of design experience. Gretchen Rhodes was called one of D.C.’s best designers by the Washington Post before moving to Mt. Pleasant three years ago.
