[embed-2]Prolific comedian Maria Bamford hits the Music Hall on Sept. 20 at 8 p.m., with opener Jackie Kashian. Tickets go on sale this Fri. Aug. 11 at 10 a.m.

Bamford is known for her candid sense of humor, talking about the topics no one else wants to, like suicide, depression, anxiety, and just having a hard time in general. Her pedigree includes years of stand-up, shows on Comedy Central, late-night appearances, and roles on television shows, including as DeBrie Bardeaux on Neflix’s rebooted Arrested Development. As Bardeaux, Bamford was deemed a “standout” by TIME and “perhaps one of the high points of the entire new season” by Black Book Magazine.

As for the evening’s opener, Kashian’s humor is described as being “like listening to a really racy episode of All Things Considered.” She has experience in stand up and television, holding a role on Bamford’s Netflix original Lady Dynamite.

Check out some of Bamford’s dark humor in the clip below.
