[image-1]If you’re a little nervous about bringing your kids to some of the shows at the Charleston Comedy Festival, well, you probably should be. Most comedians don’t censor themselves, and you might find yourself (and your kid) feeling very awkward when the topic turns toward the sexual or anything un-PC (which it probably will). But alas, there is an option for folks with little ones. Peter Gross is a “certified hypnotist” who’ll be performing three magically hilarious shows Friday and Saturday. This is from the Comedy Fest website:

“Not since Roy got into a wrestling match with his own tiger has there been a magic show that really made people sit up and take notice. But now Peter Gross presents a show with just as many surprises but less Lycra and no need for pressure bandages. And relax: No top hats, no wands, no capes — just laughs.”

At the American Theater on Friday and Saturday, Gross presents his PG-rated “Get Hypnotized” show. Earlier on Friday, at 5 p.m., check out his funny magic show at Theatre 99. Read the City Paper article on both shows here.
