Got jokes? Then get ready for the Charleston Comedy Festival’s Stand Up Competition. The four preliminary rounds kick off Fri. Aug. 31 and continue through Nov. 2 at Theatre 99. You can register to compete at (fee is $20), or just show up to watch — and vote for your favorite contestants.

Fourteen comedians will perform five-minute sets each round, and the top five performers will move on to the next round. The semi-finals, also judged by the audience, will take place Nov. 16 and 17.
