Company

Charleston indie-rock band Company celebrates a new recording this weekend with an in-store set at Monster Music & Movies (946 Orleans Rd.). They share the Monster stage with local bud Johnnie Matthews (of Dogwood Tribe) at 3 p.m. Billed as Vinyl Saturday, the event is free and open to the public.

Singer, guitarist, and songwriter Brian Hannon, drummer Kelly Grant, bassist Matthew Royse, and guitarist T.J. Ave-Lallemant recently recorded a five-song, self-titled EP at Echo Mountain Recordings in Asheville, N.C. (the facility where the Horses tracked their most recent albums). It’s a full, clean production, replete with chiming guitar work and Hannon’s rich vocal work. The EP is on the independent label Fat Possum.

Vinyl Saturday offers a 20 percent discount off all new and used vinyl all day. Copies of Company’s disc will be available at Monster for $3.99 and online through fatpossum.com and brownrecords.com. Visit monstermusicsc.com for more.
