A work by William H. Johnson

New Muse Concerts and the Gibbes Museum of Art are collaborating with the Charleston County Public Library to bring together a concert dedicated to the paintings of William H. Johnson.

Alva Anderson and LaToya Reneá will do songs by Bob Marley and John Coltrane, as well as traditional songs from the Underground Railroad.

A short version of the program, free to the public, will be held at the Bees Ferry West Ashley Library on Wednesday, March 30 at 3:30 p.m. The main show will be Thursday, March 31 at 6 p.m. at the Gibbes Museum, with tickets currently on sale.
