Local guitarist and songwriter Tyler Boone has stayed busy this year, organizing and promoting various fundraising events. Designed as a showcase and benefit concert for the Callen-Lacey Center for Children, his latest gig is a late-evening soiree set to take place at the Village Tavern on Sun. July 17.

The nonprofit Callen-Lacey Center for Children is a private, short-term emergency shelter for abused and abandoned children located in Moncks Corner. It houses children from newborns to teens.

The club’s doors open at 6 p.m. The featured rock and indie-pop acts include Ascending Heights, ‘Brother, Myer, Brittney Byerly, and Boone himself. Admission is $10. All proceeds benefit the Callen-Lacey Center.
