Corey Smith, an independent country/alternative-rock artist based out of Atlanta, will be performing New Year’s Eve at House of Blues in Myrtle Beach.

Smith enjoys a loyal grass-roots fanbase and enamors crowds with a mix of blues, country, and rock styles that is a bit on the Dave Matthews side of things, only more Southern, rural, and modest. His ability to relate honestly to his fans about real-life experiences landed Smith’s latest and sixth release, Keeping up with the Joneses, number one on iTunes’ Singer/Songwriter Album Chart without a label or any radio play. His music is truly from his soul, particularly the title track, which traces a story of his own life.

The New Year’s Eve concert at the House of Blues will feature Smith and special guests American Aquarium (from N.C.). Tickets are available for $19.50.

Smith will also be performing Sat. Dec. 26 at the BI-LO Center in Greenville. Tickets are available for $22. Visit,, and for more.
